Rylee is 18 Months

Rylee has turned 18 months.  She is still a tiny little thing at 21.6 pounds.  She is learning to say new words daily.  Her favorite phrases right now are "There you go" and "All done."  She has names for almost all the siblings -- "Ga-Ga" for Taegan (and she regularly scolds her,) "La-La" for Mikaela, "Na-Na" for Nathan, and "B-B" for Brittlyn.  We can't quite figure out what she says for Kelsye, which is rather funny, because she is so often in Kelsye's arms.  She loves to dance to the older kids' music -- she is a Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez fan (a far cry from Nathan's love for "Peter and the Wolf" at her age.)  Whenever she hears one of their songs, she squeels in delight and starts twisting her arms and hips.  She then calls out everyone's name that she sees to notify them that it is time to dance.  It becomes a kind of "Rylee says" game because soon everyone is dancing just like Rylee.  She'll clap her hands, bounce, or do her twisting dance, and everyone follows along.   She's reached that dependent/independent phase of life where she can't stand to not be in my arms in the house (so I can't get anything done,) but wants to run far away whenever we are in a store or parking lot (which makes shopping a rather unpleasant experience.)  She's lucky to have so many adoring fans.  Whenever she wants something, she can usually find someone to give her what she wants - except when she says "up" (to get out of her carseat) while we are driving.  She'll call out someone's name and say "up."  When they explain to her that she can't get out, she'll yell someone else's name, and try again until she goes through everyone.  We love you Rylee!

So,sooo cute! And the comments ... they remind me so much of Shelly at that age ... going from sibling to sibling to sibling until she got what she wanted! And being the most adored of anyone in the family. Rylee ... what a lucky little girl you are! (Can I look at you at the reunion?!?!)
