We spent a week at Callaway Gardens in Georgia (an hour south of Atlanta.) We participated in their Summer Family Adventure. The kids had classes with kids their age from the morning until the early afternoon. It was perfect for our family because both the younger kids and the older kids had fun things to do. Between the kids, they played at the beach, water skied, canoed, went tubing, rode in paddle boats, played tennis, learned to golf, fished, rode a train, went to the butterfly pavilion, took nature and wildlife classes, did circus tricks, etc., etc. The adults could do most of those things as well (but we weren't quite so ambitious.) In the evening, we took family bike rides, went swimming at the pool, viewed circus shows, and participated in other family activities like a garden scavenger hunt, movie night out on the beach, and a beach Olympics. Here are a few of our pictures:

We broke up into three groups and did a scavenger hunt through the huge vegetable and flower garden. Kelsye and Mikaela won.

Paul got up early with the 4 older kids and went fishing. Nathan and Brittlyn caught a few small fish, but Kelsye caught several (and threw them all back into the lake, much to Nathan's dismay.)
Before the last circus performance, they gave out awards to the "campers." Nathan got a shirt for being a finalist in the teen tennis tournament, and Brittlyn got a shirt for being the most enthusiastic and courageous circus trick participant amongst all the kids.
