San Francisco

Paul travels to San Francisco every couple of months on business, so I tagged along this time over Presidents' weekend.  We had a great time, and REALLY appreciate Grandma coming to watch the kids (which included taking Nathan to early morning seminary) while we were away.
It was cold and rainy in San Francisco!
View of Alcatraz from the ferry.

The famous Lombard street -- who was crazy enough to build a street this curvy and steep?
Little did we know that it was Chinese New Year on Saturday.  This big parade came through China Town, which was just 4 blocks from our hotel.  Happy year of the rabbit!
I was amazed at how beautiful the Golden Gate bridge was.  I was expecting just some old, big, rundown bridge.  We only walked about a 1/3 of the way across -- too cold and windy (we didn't pack appropriately for the weather.)
