It's Gardening Time at Our House

So, we've given up on the hard clay soil here in NC and are revamping our garden by building containers.  As usual, planting season begins too early here, so we are a little behind schedule.  I don't think we'll ever get spring vegetables.  However, if you are a fan of square foot gardening, check out this website -- they will send you weekly emails of what, where, and when to plant everything.

On a side note, we have a couple new neighbors with children Taegan's age. They are always playing together, so we decided we better refill our playset yard with mulch before someone gets hurt. Well, we had a company bring us the mulch and new soil for our garden at the same time. The guy totally messed up and dumped the 9 yds of mulch on top of our 2 yds of soil. Not only did we have to unbury our soil and the bushes it flattened, we now have mulch all down the side of our yard. It is going to be such a pain to clean this up and get it down to the playset area. I hope it doesn't rain the next few days.
