Operation Christmas Child is a huge service project that happens every year in North Carolina and a few other states. It was started by the son of Billy Graham and is sponsored by the local evangelical churches at Christmas time. You pack a shoe box with gifts for a certain age group/gender and then they are shipped all over the world to needy children. Last year, Nathan went with the other youth at church to spend an evening at the warehouse packing up the millions of boxes that get donated every year. For family home evening last week, the kids spent some of their allowance money to buy gifts for this worthwhile charity.
