Primary Program and Nathan's Advancement in the Priesthood
Yesterday was our ward's primary program. Our family was well represented. Kelsye played "I am a Child of God" on her violin while the kids walked up to their seats up front. She was also one of the main narrators of the program. Brittlyn and Mikaela both sang a short solo, and they all remembered their lines -- even Taegan, though she had a hard time remembering where the "S" in President Thomas S. Monson went, so she said, "Our living prophet is President S. Thomas S. Monson." We had to attend church in a different building because ours was being used by another stake for their stake conference. They had a rehearsal the day before and I stayed to watch because I had a part in the program as well -- the nursery leaders were asked to sing the second verse of "A Child's Prayer." Anyway, after watching a very chaotic rehearsal, I have to admit that I thought they needed a lot more practice. However, everything came together and it was actually a very nice program. We invited one of Kelsye's good friends, Amber, and her Mom to the program, and Paul's parents were in town too. Nathan was ordained to the office of Teacher as well. A busy day!
