The Final Bee Saga -- We Hope

The beekeeper finally came to our house yesterday to solve our honey bee problem.  While we left for the day, he sealed off the entrances into our family room and then cut a hole in our ceiling to find where they were building their hive.  He removed 6 honeycombs.  Since Kelsye (our naturalist) asked him all sorts of questions before we left the house, he left one of the honeycombs on a paper towel for her to see.  However, since there were still baby bees in the honeycomb, we had bees crawling all over the floor when we got home.  So, we let her look at it, took a picture, vacuumed up the bees and threw the honeycomb away.   He left a box out on our deck to attract and collect all the bees returning to find the hive, which he will come get tonight.  There are hundreds of bees flying around on our deck -- I hope they all go inside by the time he comes, or I think we will just have a new hive somewhere else.

The box that is supposed to attract and collect all of the remaining bees still outside.
