This is a very easy nature walk near one of the picnic areas.
Here is the mile high "swinging bridge". you can see all over North Carolina from here. (You can skip this if you are nervous about heights.)

There is a small animal preserve near the nature museum. You can buy a small cup of food to feed the bears for a $1.00. Mikaela considered this one of her favorite activities. There are also bald eagles, otters, deer, and cougars.
