The above pictures are from the Norwegian Resistance Museum. Paul had relatives who did some dangerous things to help with the Norwegian Resistance Movement against Hitler. Per told us some of his personal experiences as a child during this time. Nathan was particularly fascinated with the exhibits and stories.
This picture was taken at the Viking Ship Museum. They had 3 different Viking ships, plus some artifacts that were recovered from burial sites. It was amazing to think how old these ships were.
The above pictures were taken at the Norwegian Folk Museum. It is like visiting Williamsburg or Nauvoo. Historical Norwegian buildings were all moved to this outdoor museum for you to walk in and talk to people dressed in traditional clothing. The picture of Taegan was taken in the weaver's shop. The picture above is outside the stave church, a famous type of architecture for churches in Norway.
A friend of the Stub-Askers took us out on his motorboat to see the Oslo fjord.
