Here are a few pictures from our trip to Wales. The dragon is the "mascot" of Wales.

This is me standing across the moat that goes around Caerphilly castle. This castle was used for protection and is in its "ruined" state. The main castle we toured was in Cardiff (see picture below.) A marquess inherited in the late 1800's and commissioned William Burgess to restore it in a Victorian Gothic revival design so that it couldt be a fancy summer house. It was pretty amazing. (Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take pictures inside.)

You can't see him, but Paul is standing at the window. This is part of Cardiff castle. Cardiff is the capital of Wales and just over the border from England. We took a 2 hour train ride from London to get here.
